Video Call Info
I’d like to be the first to welcome you to MIND THE GAP LIVE! We’re now all on this journey together to be connected in a world that is just a little too isolated right now – especially amongst the generations.
We’re glad you’re joining us and to make the experience as great as possible, we have a few tips that will come in handy.
Audio / Visual
- Please use your computer and not your phone, unless absolutely necessary. Your and our experience will be better if you can use a computer.
- Please use headphones unless you’re physically with your group.
- Find a quiet room – preferably with carpet or a large rug – and turn off the fan.
- Turn off or dim any light that is shining into the camera. The light source should be facing towards you. It’s best if you can be facing a window.
What to Expect
We ask that you log into the call around 6:55 Central. This will allow our producers time to set up the stream and troubleshoot any technical issues you may have.
When you join the call, please use your first name only in Zoom.
We may ask that you move to a quieter, brighter, or darker location; turn off fans, heaters, or air conditioners; or remove other audio or visual distractions. Right before we start recording, we’ll run through the general premise of the show and ask if you have any questions.
You are not expected to be on camera the entire duration of pre-production, but you should not drop off the call or stop your video stream. You can mute your audio as needed and walk out of the frame, but please do not stop your camera.
Our producer will have full control over your audio once the live stream begins. It is imperative that the audio is correct for the show, so our producers will mute teams when it is not their turns so there will be no distractions for the team on the clock.
Okay – we can’t guarantee you’ll become famous, but you can invite your friends and family to watch you on the show. The best way to do this is to LIKE or FOLLOW @makesolidroots on Facebook. The feed will go live while we’re still in the green room with a countdown clock and pre-roll. This will give you time to tag yourself and share it with your friends. Then they can leave comments for you during the show!
All trivia questions are from the Boomer, Gen X, Millennial, and Gen Z generations as defined by our producers. The years are roughly 1946 – 2015.
All trivia questions are randomly selected by the host and/or producers of the show. We have no preconceived notions to make it too easy or too difficult on any one person or team.
By joining the video call, you acknowledge and allow SolidRoots, Kid@Heart, and any of its subsidiaries or partners to use your likeness in any rebroadcast or marketing materials as they see fit.
We’re pumped that you’re a part of Mind the Gap LIVE! If you have any questions, please reach out to our casting director Tiffany. You can text her at 918.938.3129.
